2012 Honda Civic Si Coupe & Civic Sedan Concepts Unveiled at Detroit Auto Show


Honda has unveiled two Civic concepts – Civic Si Coupe and Civic Sedan – at the North American International Auto Show. The concept vehicles offer a preview of the ninth generation Civic. The 2012 production models, the Sedan and Si Coupe concepts have got steeply raked windscreens, upward sweeping character lines, and 19-inch alloy wheels.



The new concepts will be powered by a range of engine choices. They include conventional petrol units, a natural gas variant, and a hybrid. The hybrid model will have the newest Integrated Motor Assist (IMA) system which will be powered by a lithium-ion battery and this is for the first time a Honda model is featuring the Integrated Motor Assist system



The new civic concepts are expected to keep its tradition of user-friendliness, sporty performance and excellent fuel economy. It has been learnt that the company is also expanding the retail sales of the natural gas-powered Civic GX model. No further details have provided by the company. The 2012 Civic model will go on sale this summer.
